Welcome to Lynx — the online platform and mobile application where students and companies connect, collaborate, and exchange opportunities.
Whether through internships, projects, or professional networking, Lynx enables meaningful interaction between young talent and the business world.
In providing our services, we process personal data. This includes details you provide when creating an account, using our mobile app, and interacting with other users. We take your privacy seriously and aim to handle your data transparently and responsibly.
In this Privacy Policy, we explain:
• What personal data we collect;
• How and why we process it;
• Who we share it with; and
• What rights you have under applicable data protection laws.
For information on our use of cookies and similar technologies, please see our Cookie Policy.
1. Who we are
Lynx (“we,” “our,” “us”) operates the Lynx platform and mobile application (the “Platform”) that connects students and companies globally.
Lynx provides various digital tools and services (the “Services”), including:
• Account registration and profile management;
• Messaging between students and companies;
• Payment processing via Stripe;
• Analytics, advertising, and personalized recommendations.
Lynx acts as the data controller for the processing of your personal data on the Platform and within the Lynx mobile app. For payment transactions, Stripe acts as an independent data controller.
2. What personal data we collect and for what purpose
We collect personal data so you can safely and effectively use the Lynx Platform and our Services.
Below, we describe which personal data we process, for what purpose, and under which legal basis:
3. Using the Lynx Platform and Mobile Application
To use Lynx’s web or mobile app, you need an account. You can register with your email address or through supported authentication providers (e.g., university login or business account).
Your profile visibility depends on your chosen settings:
• Student profiles are visible to registered company accounts.
• Company profiles are visible to registered student accounts.
In the Lynx App, you can control notifications, data sharing, and location settings under Settings → Privacy.
4. Messaging
Communication between users occurs through Lynx’s internal messaging system.
• Messages are private between the sender and recipient.
• To ensure platform safety and prevent fraud, automated systems may scan message patterns for suspicious or harmful activity.
• In case of disputes, fraud detection, or legal requests, Lynx may review message content where necessary and lawful.
5. Payments
Lynx uses Stripe for all payment transactions.
When you make or receive a payment:
• Your payment data is processed directly by Stripe.
• Lynx receives limited transaction details (e.g., amount, payment status).
• Stripe is responsible for verifying payment information, applying anti-fraud measures, and complying with financial regulations.
You can find more information in Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
6. Other personal data
We may also process the following information for specific purposes:
• Support data: When you contact our help desk, we collect communication records to resolve your inquiry (LI).
• Feedback and surveys: To improve our Platform and Services (C).

We may share your data with:

• Payment providers (Stripe).
• Affiliates (entities under common ownership for internal operations).
• Authorities (when legally required).
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
